Friends may very well have gone down in history as one of the greatest sitcoms of all time, still remaining relevant today as new generations are introduced to the series, but that doesn’t mean that the show didn’t have a few bad episodes every now and then. With lengthy seasons, there was always bound to be one or two that slipped through the cracks and that was the case. Even though Friends was an incredibly consistent show, there were still several episodes that didn’t hit the mark....

What would Futurama be without Bender, the foul-mouthed, hard-drinking, cigar-smoking, crime-committing four-year-old robot? As part of the main ensemble, Bender was at once a foil to the rest of the crew’s more law-abiding tendencies and also a lovable mascot for the Planet Express crew. With superb voicework provided by the incomparable John DiMaggio, Bender quickly became one of the most popular characters on the show, and although someone like Bender could have quickly become irritating, there was still enough heart and personality under his cold, metal exterior to keep him endearing....

Along with the introduction of new Macs, updated iPads, and a second generation Apple Pencil, Apple’s retail stores were also spotlighted. 60 new Today at Apple sessions were announced, and fans around the world gathered in stores for a special session where today’s keynote was streamed live from the Howard Gilman Opera House....

Brienne of Tarth is a fan-favorite character from Game of Thrones and it’s not hard to see why. She is noble, which is rare on the show, loyal and one of the best warriors in Westeros. She is also part of one of the most interesting relationships on the show with Jaime Lannister. Though they started out as enemies, these two formed an unlikely bond and eventual romance. Sadly, Jaime left Brienne to return to Cersei, a move that upset many fans....

The penultimate episode of Game of Thrones was always going to have fans feeling a lot of feelings. Undoubtedly, the show wasn’t always going to deliver an ending season that made everyone happy. But many fans were expecting the series to pay off all that it had been building up in a more satisfying way and were shocked to find the ending of the series heading in some unexpected directions. While there is still one episode left, many fans were upset about a lot of what happened in “The Bells” and left feeling confused or disappointed....

Phoebe Buffay will probably go down in history as one of the best characters on television. Everything from her dialogues to her iconic musical performances come together to form the special snowflake that is Phoebe. While Friends simply wouldn’t be the same without any of the core six, Phoebe’s absence would probably be the one most people would miss. Her energy was always contagious, and everyone can agree that she got the happy ending she deserved....

The second version focuses on Apple robocall scammers, with the recorded message referencing suspicious iCloud account activity: The FTC says that if you get an “unexpected call or message about a problem with any of your accounts,” you should simply hang up. If you think there might actually be a problem with your accounts, the FTC advises you to contact the company directly using a phone number from their website or via email....

Quibi releases The Fugitive teaser trailer for their reboot as the latest reworking of the Roy Huggins TV series is getting set to launch. The original TV series, which ran from 1963-1967, was a major hit for ABC and was adapted into a film starring Harrison Ford in 1993.The Fugitive was one of the biggest hits of 1993, and starred Tommy Lee Jones as Deputy U.S. Marshal Samuel Gerard, the man tasked with hunting down Ford’s Dr....

A new photography app for iOS called Fuzion is set to be released this Thursday, January 23. It uses TrueDepth camera data from new iPhones to seamlessly create stunning images by automatically taking the silhouette from Portrait mode photos and removing the background. User’s can then easily blend the silhouette with another image and even add overlays. After opening up the sharp photo editing app to a small group of beta testers last month, Fuzion is launching this week....

Forgive us if we don’t take this one at face value. Michael Arrington over at TechCrunch says there is a Google-branded phone in the works. They don’t have many details except that it will be heading to market in January, and that is only because it is taking longer than expected. Sure, they might be doing another level of co-branding like Microsoft is doing with Sharp on their Pink phones....

Whatever you think of the way that Game of Thrones ended, there’s no denying that at least one element of the show was stunning from start to finish: the costumes. Created by award-winning costume designer Michele Clapton, the costumes are incredibly beautiful, detailed, and packed with hidden details and elements that relate to the character’s story and development. For Theon Greyjoy (Alfie Allen), his costumes reflect his divided loyalties to House Stark and House Greyjoy, as well as his journey from Ward to traitor, to Reek, to hero....

Both IDC and Gartner are out with their reports for PC shipments in the third quarter today. While Apple is not in the top five vendors for worldwide shipments, estimates from the two firms place Apple’s share of the United States market at 12.5-percent to 13.6-percent. According to IDC’s numbers (above), Apple captured 12.5-percent of U.S. PC shipments in the third quarter. This is up from 11.8-percent in the same quarter last year....

Joey isn’t the brightest bulb in the bunch of Friends, so he definitely had his fair share of cringeworthy moments over the years. In fact, many of these moments turned into jokes, so his cringe-worthy moments were most welcome for the purpose of audience entertainment. Still, you can’t help but feel sorry for Joey from time to time, as some of said moments were incredibly embarrassing or ensured some kind of downfall for him....

The Wall Street Journal reported today that the U.S. Federal Trade Commission has announced its decision to update its more than 10-year-old law governing the privacy of children online. The changes mean app developers and websites will be required to obtain parental consent when collecting photos, videos, geolocation information, or tracking behavior of children 13 and under. However, as noted in the report, the updated rules have been altered since originally proposed in August and would not require third-party plug-ins, like Facebook Like buttons, or app platforms, such as the App Store, to enforce the law:...

House Targaryen is relatively small by the time viewers are first introduced to Viserys and Daenerys Targaryen in the pilot episode of HBO’s Game of Thrones. By small we mean just the two, Viserys and Daenerys. That number is cut in half by the time the first season concludes (although Jon’s ‘parentage twist’ bumps it back up again). So, to keep this from becoming a list of only shows Daenerys would like we will also take into account “Team Targaryen,” namely Missandei, Gery Worm, and Ser Jorah as well....

Next generation console reveals could be coming soon, at least if GameStop’s predictions are correct. The retailer has suggested that the reveal of the next gen devices from the likes of Sony and Microsoft could be arriving as early as this year. Fans have been wondering about when the next PlayStation and Xbox are going to be announced. Both the PS4 and the Xbox One debuted back in November 2013, meaning that both are coming close to the end of the average life cycle of a games console....

At first glance, the similarities between FX’s dark, Tom Hardy-led mumble-fest, Taboo, and Netflix’s new period drama, Frontier, are too many to let pass without acknowledgement. Both feature brooding, enigmatic leads stalking around in long coats and invading the personal space of others – usually to kill them or threaten to kill them. That’s easy enough to pass off, after all, though their careers are wildly different, Hardy and Frontier star Jason Momoa have on occasion displayed a similar on-screen disposition, or at least a predilection toward material affording them a chance to play menacing types with a fondness for tattoos, interesting facial hair, and who don’t seem to mind being covered in blood....

Update 2: Fujitsu now has a fix for the main issue for five scanners, available as an app update. A fix for the remaining four scanners is scheduled for October 17. It does not yet know when a fix will be available for editing PDFs of existing affected scans, but says that it is committed to providing this. Full details can be found on the company’s blog. Update 1: Fujitsu has updated its advice after narrowing down the issue to some much more specific circumstances....

While Game of Thrones had its share of amusing moments throughout eight seasons it was by no means a funny show. Perhaps the least funny thing on the show was the mysterious White Walkers. The supernatural beings from beyond the wall had but one goal - to kill every living thing in Westeros. Thanks to Thrones’ fans around the world, White Walkers have been given the comedic treatment (like so many other Game of Thrones-related characters) in the form of internet memes....
