Lead attorney for Apple assembly firm Foxconn reiterated statements similar sounding to ones made by Apple attorneys that neither company would seek a settlement in court with Qualcomm over the companies ongoing legal tug-of-war. The statement comes just weeks after Apple attorney William Isaacson told reporters that a trial against Qualcomm “would be necessary”, despite conflicting comments coming from Qualcomm via its CEO, who implied a peaceful resolution was just “on the doorstep....

Though the tele-carriers are always a bit late in rolling out a software upgrade for devices, their efficiency is always bang-on. They may be late to roll, but pack important features for the device. Speaking of which the major carriers of US are rolling out the first ever update for the mighty Galaxy S10 Plus. The new sensational premium machine of Samsung is getting the March 2019 security patch. Every carrier such as Verizon, AT&T, Sprint and is seeding out the security level step-up....

Samsung’s next flagship smartphone design has been leaked and it looks to have similar features compared to the latest iPhone. This leak hasn’t been verified by Samsung but does provide insight to the South Korean company’s direction in the future. While Samsung has had great success with its Galaxy S lineup, it’s been the opposite with its Fold device despite its unique features. Earlier this year, the tech giant had to postpone the Fold due to hardware issues that many reviewers experienced testing the dual-screen smartphone....

Apple today has pushed updates to both Clips and GarageBand on iOS. The updates include new TrueDepth features, a variety of new content, and more. For GarageBand, the update brings the app to version 2.3.3, while Clips is now at version 2.0.3… First off, Clips now supports two new Selfie Scenes inspired by the Pixar films Finding Dory and Monsters Inc., as well as nine new animated stickers. Apple has also designed nine new posters that allow you to create animated title cards, including education-focused blackboard and chalkboard designs....

A bizarre fan-made video brings Nick Offerman to Full House. The hit ’80s/’90s sitcom continues to live through its Netflix-produced spinoff sequel, Fuller House, but fans still prefer the original version. And in an odd way to modernize the family-oriented program, a deep-fake edit mashes it up with Parks and Recreation star, Offerman. Putting the focus on the Tanner family, newly-widowed Danny (Bob Saget) asks his brother-in-law Jesse (John Stamos) and best friend Joey (Dave Coulier) to help him raise his three young girls - DJ (Candace Cameron Bure), Stephanie (Jodie Sweeting) and Michelle (Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen)....

Netflix has released the Fuller House season 5 trailer which brings the whole family back together, minus Aunt Becky. It was announced earlier this week the continuation of the popular 90’s sitcom would release the first half of their fifth and final season on December 6th on Netflix. The show centers around the Fuller-Tanner clan and features actresses Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin, and Andrea Barber playing the adult versions of characters they portayed over two decades ago....

Cersei Lannister is one of the most clever and calculating characters ever on Game of Thrones and she even has the wardrobe to back that up. Game of Thrones’ costume designer, Michele Clapton has made Cersei’s clothing scheme as intricate as the character’s plans. As a result, she has one of the most complex fashions and fashion statements in HBO’s dark fantasy show. But of course, that’s already a given since Cersei was meant to be the antithesis of the innocent and helpless fantasy princess or queen popularized by Disney....

Game of Thrones season 8 featured a number of deleted scenes, although in most cases it’s quite easy to see why they were cut. Even though the majority of episodes within Game of Thrones season 8 were extended, much of the criticism surrounding the final season centered on the rushed pacing. The shortened season seemed to cut logical paths when it came to character development. Many aspects from the original season 8 scripts were also changed according to what was released by the Writers Guild Foundation Shavelson-Webb Library in Los Angeles....

Apple released an updated version of GarageBand for Mac today bringing back MP3 exporting and adding 3 new Drummers to the instrument recording software. MP3 exporting, which you would think is a standard feature for the software, was removed from the app in version 10. The update also features improvements to the software accessibility features and bug fixes. The last version of GarageBand (10.0.1) was released last November while Apple first released GarageBand 10 last October....

Gartner today is out with its latest research covering the global PC industry during the second quarter of 2018. According to the research, shipments totaled 62.1 million units during the quarter, which is a 1.4 percent increase year over year… This increase marks the first growth for the global PC industry since Q1 of 2012, but Gartner says it is not ready to declare a “PC industry recovery” just yet. The firm explained that the growth was due in large by demand in the business market, while the consumer market continued to decline....

Last month, news broke that Apple was suing the French activist group, Attac, to bar it from future protests and asking for €3,000 in compensation. Today, the ruling is in. Not only can Attac continue to peacefully protest in Apple Stores, but the group will also be awarded €2,000 for legal fees. Apple filed the lawsuit after several protests at Apple Stores staged by Attac (the Association for the Taxation of Financial Transactions and Aid to Citizens)....

First published in 1996, George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice And Fire series has grown into one of the most popular fantasy series to-date. It now rivals even J.R.R. Tolkien’s Middle Earth novels like The Hobbit and The Lord Of The Rings thanks in part to HBO’s Game Of Thrones, which will air its 7th season later this year. Cinematographer Fabian Wagner clarifies his remarks about filming Game of Thrones’ Battle of Winterfell episode. Last April, HBO aired the highly anticipated episode “The Long Night,” and viewers subsequently complained about the visuals being too dark. Wagner then defended his work, and offered various explanations, some of which were poorly received on social media. Wagner has filmed numerous television series over the past decade. During Game of Thrones’ HBO run, he served as director of photography for eight episodes, including “Battle of the Bastards” and “The Winds of Winter....

The delayed iPhone launch gave Android vendors additional three months to gain market share whilst negatively affecting Apple, sending shares down ten percent over the past month. Worry not, though – strong iPhone 4S launch and price reductions for both the iPhone 4 and 3GS models are seen as catalyst enabling Apple to regain lost share from Android manufacturers during the current quarter. If you’re a fan of live sports, FuboTV has announced that it will soon become the second major live streaming TV service to be integrated within Apple’s TV app. It follows PlayStation Vue, which gained support back in October of last year … The Verge notes that single sign-on support has also been promised. As we noted previously, TV app integration makes it easier to keep track of new content, especially useful when it comes to live sports events....

Star Wars Celebration Chicago just hosted the Bringing Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge to Life at Disney Parks panel where more details and reveals were shared about the upcoming ambitious parks ahead of their openings. Galaxy’s Edge first opens at Disneyland in late May, before opening in Florida at Walt Disney World in late August, and this was the last major promo and presentation from Disney Parks before the first of the two premieres....
