The hour features a touching scene in where Brienne of Tarth is knighted by Jaime Lannister, arising Ser Brienne, Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. And in addition to being a fantastic and incredibly important moment for both characters, the knighting of Brienne has some strong book parallels....

The trailer for the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones has broken one of HBO’s previous records. Adapting George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire book series, Game of Thrones focuses on several different noble families who are fighting to control Westeros. The series has been wildly popular since the first season aired in 2011, but 2019 will mark the end of the series. In order to keep the anticipation high for the upcoming season, HBO has slowly started to release marketing material for season 8....

Another hacker involved in the 2014 iCloud hack that exposed a number of intimate celebrity photos has been sentenced to prison. As reported by The Guardian, Connecticut resident George Garofano was sentenced to eight months in prison for his role in the hack… Garofano originally pleaded guilty in April and admitted that he sent phishing emails to the victims, acting as part of Apple online security team to obtain log-in details....

With Fred Savage, a talk show dedicated to keeping fans up to date with the latest happenings of the fictional FOX TV series The Flare. Chandler Bing and Rachel Green forgot the fact that they met prior to the events of the Friends pilot. Over the course of the decade-long sitcom, the series dove into a multitude of flashbacks to build up the backstories of the six main characters. Often in focus were the shenanigans of the Geller house, which frequently intertwined with the lives of Chandler and Rachel. In the Friends pilot, Monica (Courtney Cox), Ross (David Schwimmer), Chandler (Matthew Perry), Joey (Matt LeBlanc), and Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow) were hanging out in Central Perk when a woman in a wedding dress rushed in....

Friends has now left Netflix, but that doesn’t mean it’s impossible to watch it online. After much speculation and a lot of rumors saying Friends was going to leave Netflix soon, the streaming platform shared the series was going to stay for the rest of 2019… but not through 2020. Come January 1, the group had to pack its bags and leave, all as part of a bigger plan. The series will move to Warner Bros’ streaming platform, HBO Max, which is scheduled for a May 2020 launch....

When most fans think back on the final season of Game of Thrones today, they don’t know whether to laugh or cry. It was a big ending to a big series, but it seems safe to say that generally the fan base for the show did not appreciate the closure of the series as much as they appreciated the series itself. By now, it’s common knowledge that many fans were not satisfied with how many of the storylines of Game of Thrones ended.
