Melisandre’s prophecy came true at the end of Game of Thrones season 8, episode 3, “The Long Night,” as the Red Priestess died after the conclusion of the Battle of Winterfell. Melisandre left Westeros in season 7, episode 3 with the promise that she would return the continent one more time - to die. She reiterated this upon her arrival in “The Long Night,” telling Ser Davos that he did not need to execute her because she would be dead before sunrise anyway....

The Game of Thrones showrunners have revealed the fate of Ser Pounce. Unsurprisingly the fan favorite cat did not receive a happy ending. Ser Pounce was first introduced to fans in the season 4 episode “Oathkeeper.” When Margaery Tyrell snuck into the bedroom to flirt with her young betrothed and newly crowned king, Tommen Baratheon, Tommen’s cat Ser Pounce jumped in between them on the bed. This appearance was Ser Pounce’s one and only in the series but it was enough....

Another sign of an imminent product refresh in Cupertino, California: Contract manufacturer Foxconn has shipped fewer iPhone 4s during the month of August as Apple is gearing up to launch a new model. DigiTimes has the story: Industry estimates call for 5-6 million iPhone 5 units during the month of September. Total iPhone 5 shipments in the holiday quarter are expected to reach 22+ million units, supply chain sources claim. That figure easily beats the 20+ million iPhones (which includes all models) that Apple moved during the June quarter of this year....

The penultimate episode of Game of Thrones was one filled with death. We lost some characters we love, a whole lot of King’s Landing citizens and at least one person we love to hate. Euron Greyjoy finally met his end after a brutal fight with Jaime Lannister. Though he died, he went out with his trademark sadistic smile proclaiming himself the man who killed the Kingslayer. A fittingly arrogant end to the character....

According to Reuters, Foxconn’s new manufacturing plant in Brazil may be in jeopardy due to the company’s “crazy demands” related to tax breaks, lack of a skilled workforce, and the logistics of necessary infrastructure. The report claims after talking to government officials, “it is unclear whether the project will ever get off the ground”. Brazilian Minister of Science and Technology Aloizio Mercadante says the planned $12 billion investment might become a little less than originally expected....
