Friends has become one of the greatest and most beloved sitcoms of all time, and it’s hard to imagine it with a completely different title, which it almost had. In fact, the series had different titles while in development, before it ultimately landed its simple yet memorable final name. Created by David Crane and Marta Kauffman, Friends debuted on NBC in 1994 and came to an end in 2004 after 10 seasons and a lot of unforgettable jokes....

Despite its graphical compromises, Frostpunk: Console Edition is an excellent way to experience one of the best games of last year. There have been lots of alien invasion movies, but there’s never been one quite like Mars Attacks! Tim Burton’s 1996 sci-fi/comedy presents its aliens as a genuine threat to humanity, yet everything that takes place is portrayed in hilariously goofy style. The film centers around what happens when hostile Martians arrive on Earth and begin wreaking all kinds of havoc. Intentionally designed to spoof the often cheesy science-fiction adventures of the 1950s, it has an all-star cast, led by the great Jack Nicholson....

Games of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have finally commented on the coffee cup that made a surprise appearance in season 8, episode 4, “The Last of the Starks.” After the episode aired, fans noticed that something was out of place on the table in front of Daenerys during the celebratory feast: a takeaway coffee cup. The episode was later digitally edited to remove the wayward coffee, with HBO joking, “The latte that appeared in the episode was a mistake....

Friday the 13th has been part of an ongoing legal battle since 2016, and could possibly reach a resolution soon, as a court date has been set for next month. Victor Miller, who wrote the original Friday the 13th (1980) which created the franchise, hit Sean S. Cunningham, the film’s director, with a termination of copyright notice in 2016, essentially saying that he was due money for use of the character Jason Voorhees and any aspects of the original script....

Friday the 13th Part 3 is one of the better regarded sequels in the slasher franchise, but its final ending scare makes absolutely no sense. As silly as the Friday the 13th movies may seem to outsiders, for horror fans, they’re just as beloved as something like Star Wars or the MCU is to the general moviegoing public. According to the T-Mobile website, the phone will have a “Brilliant Super AMOLED touch screen display”, but will run Android 2.2. What I don’t understand (correct me if I’m wrong) is why Samsung and T-Mobile would choose to launch something that’s a flagship device (it does provide a great screen and an excellent data transfer speed – up to 21 Mbps – among other interesting features), running Android 2.2, when everybody is looking forward to Android 2....

Known for its high death toll, Game of Thrones indeed ended with a number of notable fatalities; one of them was Varys. As we look back on the series it becomes apparent that the Master of Whisperers didn’t have many friends. Perhaps only Tyrion could be considered an ally. However, even an inspection of the relationship between these two would suggest that they aren’t actually real friends, and perhaps never were....

Update for Game of Thrones Season 8, Episode 6 - “The Iron Throne” The Game of Thrones series finale, “The Iron Throne”, provided arguably the biggest death of the series. In the penultimate episode, “The Bells”, Daenerys Targaryen became the Mad Queen and attacked King’s Landing, burning the capital to ashes. The Dragon Queen won the war against Cersei Lannister, who perished in the bowels of the Red Keep with her brother Jaime, but in doing so, she embraced fear instead of mercy and lost the support of Jon Snow, Tyrion Lannister, and her allies from Westeros....

With vastly improved visuals thanks to real-time dynamic lighting and shadows, “movie-like” depth of field effects, and improved ragdoll physics, the new game is even closer to console-quality graphics and one of best looking iOS titles we have seen since Unreal Engine-powered Infinity Blade....

Two Apple suppliers yesterday delivered their earnings reports, with rather different outcomes. The reports saw Foxconn profits rise significantly while Japan Display hit five straight years of losses. While Foxconn’s fortunes are strongly tied to those of Apple, its strong Q3 performance may be despite, rather than because of, the Cupertino company … Apple recently reported a 9.2% fall in iPhone revenue. But although Foxconn relies on the Cupertino company for around half its revenue – the iPhone making up the bulk of it – the contract manufacturer saw its own revenue hold steady, while profits were up 23%....

Foxconn said it took ‘immediate action’ to end the illegal hours being worked by high school students on the iPhone X production line. The statement follows confirmation by Apple that students aged 17-19 were allowed to work more than 40 hours per week despite this being in breach of both the law and the company’s own policies … The illegal overtime was reported by the Financial Times, which said that six students were ‘routinely’ working 11-hour days assembling the iPhone X....

An empty apartment, six keys left on the front counter, Ross and Rachel finally made up, Monica and Chandler had twin babies, Joey’s acting career took off, and Phoebe married the man of her dreams. Friends gave us 10 seasons of worthwhile comedy, emotion, and so much perspective. Yet, in the end, we felt certain plots could have been better catered to. We have a love-hate relationship with the writers for making our wishes come true and for missing out on some plotlines....

When it comes to supporting characters they don’t come much better than Gunther from Friends. The Central Perk manager is a consistent character who appears frequently on the show whenever the group are hanging out in the coffee shop. Whether it be his undying love for Rachel or his hatred for Ross, Gunther is always able to bring some funny moments to the show. He might not get tons of focus in terms of actual character development, but he adds a lot to the show....

A Friends reunion special is officially greenlit for Warner Bros. streaming service HBO Max, reuniting all six original cast members. A staple of NBC’s “Must See TV” Thursday night lineup, Friends recently passed its 25th anniversary, but love for the show hasn’t wained. The series was initially available on Netflix, which introduced a younger generation to the series in 2015 when it added the show to its streaming roster. Recently, Netflix lost the rights to run the show, and Warner Bros....

Chivalry is certainly not dead… in Game of Thrones, at least. The hit TV series from HBO is a medieval fantasy and it features enough knights, lords, and ladies to fulfill anyone’s feudal drama cravings. However like in the real world as well, chivalry, which is often referred as a knight’s or nobleman’s code of honor and morals, often takes a backseat when it comes to plots and schemes for the crown....

To say Friends is a memorable show is an understatement. It’s been over a decade since it left the air and the hype surrounding it never really died down. The show introduced plenty of amazing characters that are quoted on a daily basis. To mix up some entertainment culture, we took some of the main characters from the show and picked out their D&D class equivalents. Each pick is based on personality traits that make up the roles, and the moral alignments of their actions throughout the entire series....

Throughout the course of Friends, there is plenty of ups and downs with lots of love and heartache all taking place, showing the reality of life itself with the beloved characters going through the emotional rollercoaster. During the show, each character has plenty of relationships, with some lasting longer than others and eventually a few even sticking around for the long term. While the people each character ends up with are what most want, that doesn’t mean that there aren’t great relationships before then....
