Kit Harington’s Game of Thrones co-stars crashed his monologue looking for spoilers in a hilarious bit from last night’s SNL. Heading into its eighth and final season, Game of Thrones is arguably a bigger pop culture sensation than it’s ever been before. The hype is definitely sky high for the HBO fantasy series as the last six episodes get set to drop beginning on April 14th.

Among the many questions left over from the end of Game of Thrones season 7, none are bigger than those surrounding the fates of Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and his new queen, Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke). Fans were of course stunned when the two became lovers last season, especially as it was previously revealed that Jon Snow is actually the son of Rhaegar Targaryen, making Daenerys his aunt. It’s expected that, at some point in the new season, Jon and Daenerys’ family connection will be revealed to them (likely by the well-read Samwell Tarly), which will no doubt lead to some high drama.

Of course, no one in the outside world knows yet what actually happens in Game of Thrones season 8, as all spoilers are being kept under lock down. HBO’s obsession with secrecy is well known by now, and actually provided the fodder for a bit on last night’s SNL, which was hosted by none other than Jon Snow himself, Kit Harington. In the show’s monologue, Harington found himself being questioned by random people in the audience about Game of Thrones spoilers, which he is of course not at liberty to reveal. Things escalated however when Harington’s own Game of Thrones co-stars began standing up to grill him for spoilers. See the clip below:

Harington definitely does a good job playing the awkwardness of the situation as his co-stars begin appearing in the crowd, starting with his on-screen lover Emilia Clarke, who jokes about needing to be reminded what happens on the show because it’s been so long since last season. Clarke then jokes about the sex scene they filmed in season 7 (note, thought, that she commits a little gaffe by accidentally saying “season 6”). After a little joke about Harry Potter fans getting mixed up with Game of Thrones fans, Samwell Tarly actor John Bradley next stands up to pump Harington. He wants spoilers too because, even though he’s on the show, he only knows his own lines and has no idea what else happens. If the ensuing joke is accurate, Samwell will be eaten by a dragon (an unlikely result indeed).

An already weird bit then gets even weirder when none other than The Night King shows up, played by Pete Davidson in some very impressive makeup. The Night King doesn’t want spoilers, he just wants to know if people hate him. Sadly, Kit has to explain that yes, people hate him because everyone he touches turns into an ice zombie. For the grand finale, Kit then fields a question from his own former co-star and current wife Rose Leslie, who doesn’t care about spoilers but just wants to know what they’re going to do for money with his gig on the show ending and them wasting all their cash getting Uber Eats every night.

All-in-all, it’s a funny monologue with a fun premise and some great cameos. Kit Harington may not be known for comedy, having played the very dramatic Jon Snow on Game of Thrones for all these years, but by the evidence of this one appearance he may have a future in doing more comedic work.
