With each instalment of the popular FPS Modern Combat series on iOS and Android, Gameloft seems to be getting a little closer to matching the quality of gameplay we expect from the top of the line console games in the genre such as Call of Duty. While it’s no secret the Modern Combat series has borrowed a lot from COD (as have many other FPS games), the latest trailer for the upcoming Modern Combat 5 title looks to be the closet thing to an immersive, action-packed COD-like shooter that we’ll have on mobile devices....

It wasn’t long ago that we were telling you about Microsoft increasing OneDrive storage for free accounts from 7 GB to 15 GB, and that Office 365 users would receive 1 TB of storage. Then a few months later, Microsoft upped the storage again to 30 GB for mobile users. On the heels of those announcements, the Redmond giant is taking it an even larger leap forward by offering unlimited storage on OneDrive – in case 1 TB wasn’t enough....

The future of Taboo, the BBC period drama which premiered in 2017, depends on series star Tom Hardy. Based on a story written by Hardy and his father Chips, Taboo is a mystery fueled by love and betrayal. In Taboo season 1, the show focused on James Keziah Delaney (Hardy) as he returned to London to inherit what remained of his father’s shipping empire. Returning home during a time of war, after being presumed dead, soon proves to be a perilous decision for Delaney....

Three Apple events later, there’s still no word from Apple on AirTags – and now it seems Samsung could beat the Cupertino company to the market with Galaxy Smart Tags. Apple and Google’s API for COVID-19 contact tracing – Exposure Notifications – has arrived with iOS 13.5 but it takes a supported app from a local health authority to work. A new iOS app called Work | Space is looking to bridge the gap of helping employees returning to work build the habit of social distancing. Since Apple and Google just built the API for iOS and Android contact tracing, it’s up to local health authorities to develop apps using the tech....

Ben Geller was the Ross’ first child but the character disappeared in the later seasons of Friends - so what happened to him? The role was played by a number of child actors but Cole Sprouse (Riverdale) was most memorably linked to the character. Fans of the series and cast members, including Sprouse, have provided insight into Ben’s possible whereabouts. In Friends season 1, Ross learned that his ex-wife Carol was pregnant....

Game of Thrones is a show of many storylines. Some of them good, some of them not so good. But what about the storylines that never were? What about the storylines that either didn’t make it from the books or were changed beyond recognition? What about the storylines that just changed from the show writers’ original vision? Some of those storylines might have improved the show a lot, while others would have hurt it....

Jon Snow was one of (if not the most) popular characters in HBO’s Game of Thrones. His selfless nature and compassionate attitude labeled him as one of the only truly honorable people in Westeros. But Jon made some mistakes along the way, some worse than others. And honestly, in GOT, who hasn’t? Jon certainly put up with enough rain to reach the rainbow, but not everything he did along the way was perfectly admirable!...

After seven seasons, an impressive number of major characters have been killed off, but there are still dozens left for the final battles - between the living and the dead, and between Cersei and… everyone else. While most of the major players have been in place for a while, there are some new characters being introduced for the final season - although there’s no telling who will make it through to the finale....

Casting calls for HBO’s upcoming House of the Dragon, the prequel series to Game of Thrones, have reportedly gone out. Based on George R.R. Martin’s Westeros companion book Fire & Blood, the new series takes place 300 years before the start of the original show and takes viewers back to the heyday of House Targaryen. Given that House of the Dragon is still in the early stages, there’s no clear release date set in stone....

Apple has today released an update to GarageBand for iOS and it adds a few notable changes to the app. The biggest feature is support for the new Schoolwork app, adding the ability to assign activities, Handouts, and more. The update also lets users view note labels on any Touch Instrument’s music keyboard. Aside from that, Apple says it has squashed a few bugs and the app is more stable overall....

Out of every character on Friends, Phoebe had the best ending. Over the course of 10 seasons, viewers got to really know the main characters in Friends, and in some cases witnessed some real character development in them. The series did its best to give closure to the arc of each friend, but Phoebe’s ending stood out the most in the end. The series followed the lives of six young adults (Phoebe, Monica, Rachel, Joey, Ross, Chandler) in New York City, and all the ups and downs that come with adulthood....

Jon Snow is possibly the closest thing to a hero we get in Game of Thrones. He was raised a bastard, left to join the honorable Night’s Watch, and then started fighting ancient ice beings that can reanimate the dead. If this is not enough, Jon Snow is also the rightful king of Westeros, was resurrected, and is considered by many to be the prophesized hero, Azor Ahai. That being said, just because Jon Snow is the closest thing to an archetypal fantasy hero in Game of Thrones and a Song of Ice and Fire, this does not mean he hasn’t done anything wrong, or that he is the perfect hero....

A report today suggests that Apple may not include free EarPods in the iPhone 12 box. While Kuo indicates that this is intended to boost sales of AirPods, I personally don’t think it would do that. What it will do is reduce pointless waste … Back in the days of iPhones with 3.5mm headphone jacks, I’d long argued that it was silly including EarPods in the box. It made sense back in the iPod days, when the idea of a portable music device was a relatively new concept; it made no sense when anyone who listens to music on the move already has a pair of headphones....

My hands-on look at the Apple Watch Series 3 is still forthcoming, but I have to say that I’ve been extremely impressed by the potential and speed of this device. The Series 3 is, in my opinion, what the original Apple Watch aspired to be. The hardware has not only increased in efficiency and speed, but the connectivity — with LTE finally in tow — provides it with a measure of independence that seemed like science fiction just a few years ago....

The six friends that frequented Central Perk are some of our favorite characters that last to this day. Rachel (Jennifer Aniston), Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow), Monica (Courteney Cox), Joey (Matt LeBlanc), Chandler (Matthew Perry) and Ross (David Schwimmer) were all so greatly diverse, yet they had a good dynamic. Most of the time. While they had plenty of good Friends moments, they were still human beings with flaws. They had their own faults, and sometimes this affected their relationships with one another....

One of HBO’s greatest shows ever, Game of Thrones, came to an end this year, in 2019. Still, we’re not done talking about it. This show had many characters, story-lines, deaths, and romances. While we all have our favorite couple, character, and least favorite thereof, we know that you’d probably fight to the death GoT style in order to defend your choice. Throughout the series, there were many marriages, romances, and bonds, some totally endearing and some completely jarring....

There are fewer things in life more powerful than a good pep talk. A handful of articulate words strung together like fairy lights have the power to illuminate the path we’d be missing on our own. While we may tune into TV for bloody sword fights and steamy love affairs, every now and then comes a character so wise, so in tune with the human experience, the viewer finds themselves just as inspired as the other characters....
