The first reviews are in for Frozen 2. Following a fairly quiet September and October, Disney is back with a vengeance this month. They only just launched their Disney+ streaming service this past Tuesday, and are already exceeding expectations when it comes to selling subscriptions. Things won’t slow down next week either, when their anticipated sequel to Frozen - the studio’s Oscar-winning animated blockbuster that grossed well north of $1 billion at the box office in 2013 - begins its run in theaters....

Matt Groening’s other successful animated series, Futurama, amassed a loyal fan base before ending in 2013 - and despite calls for the show to return to the small screen since then, Groening has so far resisted the temptation. Fans may be getting the next best thing, however, in the form of a mobile game that will see Futurama’s original writers and cast reunite. Mobile gaming is perhaps the most lucrative market in the video game industry at the moment, with titles such as Candy Crush and Pokemon GO!...

Future AirPods models could offer a range of smart features that would blur the line between in-ear headphones and hearing aids, suggests a new thought piece today. AirPods Pro models already offer a ‘layered’ sound experience, but future models could offer far more sophisticated sound processing… MacWorld’s Jason Snell makes the case. He starts by looking at the three modes currently offered by AirPods Pro: normal, noise-canceling, and ‘transparency.’ The technology, he notes, already exists – in audio-processing software used for things like cleaning up podcast recordings....

Jon Snow returned from the dead in Game of Thrones, but his resurrection will likely be a little bit different in George R.R. Martin’s next A Song of Ice and Fire book, The Winds of Winter. Among all the deaths in both books and show, Jon Snow’s is one of the most momentous. Branded a traitor by his Night’s Watch brothers, Jon Snow is stabbed to death by a group of mutineers at the very end of Game of Thrones season 5 (and towards the end of the fifth A Song of Ice and Fire book, A Dance With Dragons)....

HBO’s Game of Thrones releases a trailer for the documentary special The Last Watch. Last March, the behind-the-scenes production was first announced, and will air one week after the series finale. Next weekend’s Game of Thrones’ episode will mark the end of the iconic series. Directed by Jeanie Finlay, The Last Watch chronicles the production of Game of Thrones season 8. The British filmmaker documented the entire process, so fans will receive a unique look at The Battle of Winterfell, along with the battle at King’s Landing during the penultimate episode....

Henry Golding has entered talks to play Snake Eyes in the upcoming G.I. Joe live-action movie spinoff about the character. Despite having had (at best) mixed success with their first two attempts to adapt the G.I. Joe toyline for the big screen, Paramount and Hasbro are teaming up against for a new slate of films based on the IP. Up first will be Snake Eyes, a project centered around the ninja commando who was previously portrayed by Ray Park in the movies G....

Daenerys Targaryen and Jon Snow’s romance culminated tragically in the controversial series finale of Game of Thrones. After witnessing the Targaryen queen succumb to madness and destroy King’s Landing with dragonfire, Jon kills his lover, aunt, and queen during an embrace in front of the Iron Throne. Daenerys first meets Jon after she returns to Dragonstone, and later helps the Northerners defend Winterfell against the Army of the Dead. The Targaryen gave almost everything to Jon Snow — including a dragon — but in hindsight, there were other characters more deserving of her love…...

In a show like Game of Thrones, where most characters are layered and complex, there are a few characters that are truly evil, like Joffrey Baratheon and Ramsay Bolton. Then there are those that lean strongly toward the evil side, redeemed only by the most minute amount of goodness inside them, like Cersei Lannister. For the most part, Cersei is a ruthless character who tears down whoever she needs to in order to play the game of thrones....

Apple’s lead manufacturer Foxconn reported a 13 percent rise in net profit to 106.7B new Taiwan dollars (US$3.5B) following record iPhone and iPad sales, reports the WSJ. More than 40 percent of the company’s revenue comes from Apple. The news comes a few days after Apple supplier Pegatron reported a 22 percent rise in earnings. Hon Hai’s results were underpinned by demand from Cupertino, Calif.-based Apple, which sold 51 million iPhones in its fiscal first quarter ended Dec....

While Friends might have had some fantastic couples throughout the history of the show that fans didn’t really want to see the end of, as well as those legendary couples such as Ross and Rachel, that doesn’t mean every relationship was great. Over the course of the show, there were plenty of relationships that really didn’t work, with fans begging the show to cut them short for a variety of reasons....

Futurama is such an interesting show to watch nowadays. It is a show about the future, yet half the show was created in the early 2000’s, while the other half was created in in the early 2010’s. At times, the show manages to smartly depict the world we live in today, while also being somewhat of a time capsule for things in the past, which is kind of bonkers for a show about the future....

We’ve been hearing rumors about the redesigned fourth generation iPad Air with an edge-to-edge display for a while, and Bloomberg confirmed this week that the new iPad Air will be introduced this fall. While we’re not entirely sure if the new iPad Air will follow exactly the same design adopted by the 2018 and 2020 iPad Pro models, Svetapple has created a concept to demonstrate just that. Rumors suggest that the new iPad Air model will have thinner bezels around the display, just like the latest iPad Pro models....

New data from Gartner reveal that shipments of the Mac lineup increased 5.1% year over year in the second quarter of 2020. While Apple shipped approximately 4.1 million Mac units in the second quarter of 2019, the company reached 4.3 million Mac units in the same period this year. Apple is the fourth-largest computer vendor in the world coming after Dell, HP, and Lenovo. The market share of Mac sales during the quarter was stable, going from 6....

The third-generation Apple TV just lost another app with FOX NOW dropping support for the set-top box. Only this year, YouTube, CBS All Access, and MLB apps removed their apps from this Apple TV model. As spotted by Appleosophy, FOX NOW announced in May that would drop support to the third-generation Apple TV on June 17. The day has come and not even the app is not supported anymore and it was removed from the Apple TV home screen as well....

Apple supplier Foxconn is refuting reports that it has backed out of an agreement to invest $5 billion in manufacturing facilities in India. The Times of India first reported on the development this week, citing comments from Industries Minister Subhash Desai. It appears that there was some level of miscommunication between Foxconn and the Indian government. Desai reportedly told the press that Foxconn’s investment in India would not come to fruition because of increased competition from local manufacturing firms, as well as an “internal dispute” between Foxconn and Apple....

Following Avast’s big scandal last month, many have moved on to other free Antivirus programs which thankfully, there are a good amount of. Avast was hit hard with reports of not only harvesting data, but selling that information to various companies. The extension was then dropped by most browsers after that, perhaps even forcing some who wanted to stay with Avast through the scandal to drop it. Free Antivirus software isn’t a rare thing today....
